Hi there, β I'm grateful for you. Some of you joined me when I started this newsletter, taking the leap of faith as I figured out what I was trying to say. The rest of you, wonderfully, beautifully, stumbled upon my newsletter...and felt there was something here for you. Either way...thank you. π Nowadays, as the world gets louder, it gets harder to put yourself out there, and to feel you have something interesting or useful to share, without adding to the chaos. And when there's more than one message burning inside you, it's hard to pick a lane, or an audience. Here's what's staying the same. 1) I'm still making music. 2) I'm still posting covers of pop songs on my YouTube channel.β 3) I'm still sharing personal reflections of the music that moves me, and the musical events that shape me. (Speaking of which, CNN's recent 4-part series "Live Aid: When Rock 'n' Roll Took on the World" is soooo eye-opening.) And here's what's evolving. I've renamed this newsletter "Work Your Jam." As a musician...AND a life purpose coach for entrepreneurial leaders, I'll also be sharing ideas on how to build your business or career with soul. Why entrepreneurial leaders? For one...it me. πββοΈπ For another...they're the people I vibe with the most. Whether you're a working musician crafting multiple streams of income, a small business owner bringing a cool idea to market, or a company employee building a side hustle - if you have a go-getting spirit, and are relentless about making your biz dreams real, this is the newsletter for you. Your drive and determination will also guide the music I make. If you've spent any time chasing a new business or project idea...you know how hard it can get. It's an emotional roller coaster. One day you're riding the highest of highs, and the next day you wonder if you should keep going. Through the ups and downs of my business, and my life, music has always been there to cheer me on, or to pick me up. And now that I've become a musician, it would be an honor for my music to help you ride that emotional roller coaster, with more ease and grace. βοΈ Imma do this through: 1) the songs I pick for my YouTube channel uploads 2) the non-music videos I post on YouTube (I've been working on those new video formats) 3) the setlists I curate for my music livestreams (more details on this soon!) If all this sounds like something you wanna stay tuned for...welcome (back) to "Work Your Jam!" As workplaces continue to change, more of us are choosing an entrepreneurial path. It's a path I know well, and I'd love for us to navigate it together. π Because...musically speaking...I got you, babe. πΆβοΈ Rock on, Reader βοΈ β |
