Hi Reader, I started my first blog in the early 2000s on Blogger, one of the first dedicated blog-publishing tools. Back then, I was enamored by how technology could get our words out into the world. But I didn't really know what words I was here to share. Sure, I had stories to tell. Who doesn't? After we've lived some years on earth, there's always a tale or more to share with others. Turns out I had a heckuva lot more living to do first. That didn't stop me from starting different blogs, on different platforms. Wordpress. Tumblr. Medium. Substack. All fun to experiment with. But I was still waiting for my stories to ripen on the vine of life. Music has helped me land the plane on those stories. It's easy for me to tune in to the story in a song, to the emotional essence of a tune. Play me a song, with or without lyrics, and I'll feel its story course through my veins. And if that song shows up during a milestone in my life, then it really makes its mark in my heart and soul. Earlier today, I wondered if it would make sense to start blogging again. Ask marketing experts that question, and they'll either tell you blogging is dead, or that there's no better time to blog. So, like millions of people around the world these days, I put the question to my AI tool for its take. After all, it's AI engines that are serving up a lot of answers to our online questions now. And it seemed like a sound move, to ask an AI engine whether it trawls blogs as authoritative sources. A few chat threads and hours later, I'm now back on the blogging bandwagon.
This time, I think it just might stick. Because my stories have ripened on the vine. Because music makes those stories so much easier to tell. And because stories make our world go around. It'll help you find and do work that feels true. 💪 Rock on, Reader ✌️ PS: Are you (or someone you care about) in a career transition, and needing help with what comes next?
